Happy New Year!

Well, here we are at the end of 2009 and what a year! I am so excited for what 2010 holds for Destiny Sports Mission. We are still planning on the DR trip in July and I ask for your prayers as we continue to recruit for that trip. I also covet your prayers for all the camps for this summer. We are praying over what camps to host where and will be releasing our camp calendar very soon. Thank you for all you do for Destiny Sports Mission and I pray that 2010 may be a blessing to you and yours!

Off Season

Merry Christmas from Destiny!

I cannot believe we here at Destiny are celebrating our first full year since we officially began our organization. Time is truly flying by but things just get more and more exciting. Right now we are beginning a fund-raising campaign for the upcoming summer's events. Included in those summer plans is a baseball mission trip to the Dominican Republic the second week of July. Recruitment for the Dominican Republic trip has already begun. Destiny information will be going out at the Texas High School coaching clinic early in January and has already gone out in part at two other coaching conferences. It is very exciting to see things get rolling but please continue to keep us in your prayers. New changes

Wow, how times have changed! Destiny had an amazing 1st summer as an official non-profit organization. I am sorry that we haven't kept our picture postings up to date but better late than never. Since I last wrote Destiny has moved its base of operations to Conroe, Texas just north of Houston. While it was hard to leave Lubbock, we know that God is working mightily in this new area. In fact, Destiny was contacted the very first week here by a ministry called SCORE about a partnership in international missions. In fact, we are working on a baseball mission to the Dominican Republic in June or July. I am excited about the possibilities! Well, I promised pictures and so here are some downloads from the rest of the summer.

Destiny Elite Tennis 2009

Destiny Elite Tennis is in the books and it was truly a great time. We had nine high school tennis players who worked hard for 6 hours a day! It was a focused, competitive time and the students really improved. What a wonderful event and I am looking forward to the rest of the summer!!!

For Session 2, we had 9 campers show and worked hard the entire week.  What a great group of young men Nazareth has for the future of their baseball program!

The first Destiny Baseball Camp in Nazareth, TX was a great success!  We had 11 campers in Session 1 and saw great improvement in each of them.  Thank you guys for coming out.  We look forward to next year for the second camp.

Off week

Well, baseball camp went great. Big shoutout to the boys in Naz...keep in touch! Well it is vacation week and we are going to see my Cubbies play in Houston. I am very excited because it will be my first Cubs game. When we get back it will be time for the Elite Tennis  Camp.. I hioe you are planning to attend, we are really excited about this one and I think you will really love it. Well for now i'm out.

Baseball Camp 2009

Well, we are finishing up the first camp of the 2009 Summer and it has been great. We are in Nazareth, Tx and we have 21 kids. That might not sound like a lot but when you are in a community of only 356 people, that is pretty great numbers. It has been exactly what Destiny is about- these kids are fairly new to baseball and we have been hammering in the fundamentals. Tomorrow is the last day and we will be doing a lot of competitions and having a lot of fun. We will be talking about Romans 8:37 and how we are conquerors in Christ. I will be posting pictures on the website soon and so stay in touch.
